Important:

  • Beacon Films may video and audio record sessions. All recordings will be held in line with the ‘safeguarding’ and ‘evaluation data’ section of our data protection policy

  • To avoid getting feedback during meetings: turn down the volume on your computer; use headphones where ever possible!

  • Please do not use Internet Explorer. We recommend using Chrome, Firefox, or Safari wherever possible.

Project Members: how to join a session.

  • Do not use Internet Explorer. We recommend Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.

  • Watch the film to find out how to log in. In the film, Andrew is using a MacBook, but you should find it is the same on a PC too.

Project Facilitators: how to join a session

  • The group facilitator must login as an admin. Ask Will or Michelle for details.

  • Once logged in, go to the correct room (/beaconfilmsroom1, /beaconfilmsroom2 /beaconfilmsroom3 correspond to the buttons above)

  • Rooms MUST remain LOCKED. Anyone wishing to have access to the room must say who they are before they can be allowed entry. If they have a webcam then the facilitator will also be able to see who it is before permitting entry.

  • To watch a YouTube video together, hover over ‘share’ at the bottom of the screen and then go to ‘YouTube’

  • NOTE: To invite other people into the meeting you DO NOT need to send them the link. All they have to do is go to www.beaconfilms.org.uk/meetingplace and click on Whereby then whatever room you are in.
