Viewfinder
Supported by
Viewfinder offers a supportive environment for Disabled and Neurodivergent filmmakers to experiment, connect, and collaborate.
As well as facilitating opportunities in the screen industry, the project nurtures the creative growth of individuals who wish to contribute to film culture without seeking employment in the sector.
Viewfinder is divided into several strands.
Strand 1 - Viewfinder Sessions: A regular opportunity for creative people to connect, collaborate and create films.
Strand 2 - Film Factories: People are invited to work as a team to create a film, following a brief.
Strand 3 - Goals Mentoring: One-to-one support to help creatives decide and progress towards goals.
Stand 4 - Supported Placements: Our more experienced members are offered paid freelance work on a range of film projects. Find out more by clicking here.
Strand 5 - Networking: Opportunities for people to meet socially, connect with one another and hear from industry speakers.
Strand 6 - The Industry Inclusion Group: Co-funded through Viewfinder and Making Creativity Works, the Industry Inclusion Group is a collective of people from across the cultural sector who want to make their workforces more inclusive of d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent (DDN) people. Over 50% of attendees are DDN. Find out more by clicking here.
